Do you want to be part of a fast growing, exciting consultancy company that focuses on the development of people? We are looking to recruit an ambitious, driven and creative individual to join our programme delivery team in Newcastle, as a Learning and Development Coordinator.

Having recently expanded, we are currently looking for an individual to support our team with the creation of unique development programmes, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to ensure a high impacting experience.

The Role

As part of our expansion, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated and professional individual with a clear passion for supporting business growth through the development of people.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to gain exposure working in a consultative environment with organisations in the FTSE 100 and SME’s sector. Gradvert will provide a full development programme for the successful candidate to ensure they have the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform to their best in the role.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Organisational Development and take a strategic role in developing high quality learning and development interventions, including; graduate schemes, leadership and management programmes and organisational change projects. As part of the role the successful candidate will:

  • Support in the delivery of ‘discovery sessions’ with clients to understand their unique challenges.
  • Work with the delivery team and use problem solving to identify innovative solutions to the challenges our clients face.
  • Prepare bespoke training content including training materials such as presentation slides, workbooks and activities.
  • Act as the main point of contact for our team of associate trainers, ensuring that they are fully prepared to deliver Gradvert training content.
  • Support in the evaluation of our interventions to demonstrate return on investment to our clients.
  • Work with the project coordinator to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and to the highest level of quality.
  • Work closely with the sales function to develop bespoke client proposals.
  • Take responsibility for keeping up to date with researching the latest trends in talent development.

The Person

The following attributes are critical to success in the role:

  • A minimum of a 2:1 degree classification
  • A masters degree in a business relevant subject e.g. Occupational Psychology, Business Management; Human Resource Management is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for developing people and helping them to achieve success within their careers.
  • Highly motivated and professional with an excellent attention to detail.
  • The desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience for our clients at every touch point.
  • Knowledge of key learning and development principles and the capacity to challenge, question and critique.
  • A self-starter who is proactive and able to manage a workload of varying complexity.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Able to work as part of and contribute to a high performing team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with the team and external clients.
  • Ability to use PowerPoint, Word, Excel to a high level.
