OVER 1,000 ORGANISATIONS USE APPRENTICESHIPS TO UPSKILL EXISTING STAFF

04 March 2019

Gradvert are excited to join in on National Apprenticeship Week as we are passionate about offering high quality training through the Apprenticeship Levy. The official campaign from the government is “Blaze a Trail” and marks the 12th annual National Apprenticeship Week. We will be sharing a range of content which highlights how apprenticeships are the ideal opportunity for both employees and employers.

Throughout the week we will be joining the “Blaze a Trail” movement by celebrating the ‘energy and passion’ that we have seen brought into the organisations that we work with. We have seen apprenticeships delivered in many different ways and are so pleased that they are not just for school leavers and can benefit people at any stage of their career, offering an opportunity for organisations to upskill their existing employees.

“The Apprenticeship Levy should be seen as a skills investment and the funds used to invest in programmes for school leavers and existing employees. Businesses many not even be aware they can use the Levy to train managers and leaders at every level. The broad scope of these new apprenticeships means we will see school leavers all the way to executives embark on apprenticeships that will advance their careers and benefit their employers.”

Our relationship with apprenticeships, is fortified by the Apprenticeship Levy. The Levy is an opportunity to benefit workforces and develop new talent through training programmes, this can advance the careers of individual employees. Investment in training is proving to be popular with leaders in business who are backing apprenticeships for people across the entire age spectrum for improving employment investment.
According to the Chartered Management Institute, 88% of leaders in business believe that Apprenticeships are for everybody and not just for school leavers. This number shows how the Apprenticeship Levy can be used to upskill and retain staff retention, through increased employee development and motivation.

Managers and apprentices are now engaged with the Levy pot and are reaping the business benefits such as upskilling staff, increasing productivity and revitalising a company’s culture. However, there is still a lot of awareness that needs to be created as too many businesses are missing out. That is why we are going to use this week to show you the benefits that using the Apprenticeship Levy holds.
We will be offering a range of advice on how the Apprenticeship Levy can benefit your workforce. This will include busting some of those text book apprenticeships myths and bringing you up to speed with the Apprenticeship landscape of 2019. We are also sharing some insightful testimonials and statistics to show how the Apprenticeship training, funded by the Levy, is benefiting some of our amazing clients.
